2024 Airoh helmet design reveal
Ben Currie has unveiled his 2024 helmet design for this season at Circuit Navarro, Spain, ahead of the opening round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship. Ben will once again be using an Airoh GP helmet, painted by Image Design Custom.
“This is my fifth season racing professionally with Airoh. We've enjoyed some success in BSB and in WorldSSP previously. I absolutely love the Airoh shell, the design, the look of it, everything about it. Their FIM lid is just a cut above and the support and service I get from them is just fantastic.
My helmets get painted by Image Design Custom, the best in the business, and who are the benchmark for helmet painting in the country. I’ve collaborated with them over the last four-five seasons, slowly tailoring designs and making slight adjustments as we move forward.
The most prominent aspect of the design is the John F Hunt logo on the temple part, a prominent position. As one of my main sponsors their logo has now been featured on my helmet for six consecutive seasons, and I look forward to defending the British Supersport title with them.
Last year we ran a retro flame look on the Airoh, which was my favourite design to date. But this year Image Design have slightly modded that aspect and I’m so excited to share the design with everyone, I think it just looks awesome.”
Federica Colpani - Airoh: “We’re so happy to start our fifth season alongside Ben! We are really so proud of his growth; not only as a rider but also as a person, and he is undoubtedly an important part of the Airoh family. We are ready to face all the challenges that the future holds us, side by side.”
Tom Fuller - Managing Director, Image Design Custom: “This design is an evolution of some of the previous paintwork we’ve done with Ben. We work with a lot of the top riders and Ben is great to work with. He offers plenty of clear direction and has good ideas. But he trusts us to do our job, so we’re given the freedom to go ahead and do what we do best. It’s a collab between our Senior Graphic Designer Sammy Morgan and Ben, which can take two days in design work alone, before another couple of days labour in prepping and finishing the complex designs on the Airoh. But the result is a pretty wicked helmet paint job. We can’t wait to see Ben with it on the podium again this year.”
