Championship is going down to the wire
Oulton Park, the penultimate round of the season, has been an absolute rollercoaster.
We started off Friday Free Practise 1.3 seconds clear of second place, unbelievable feeling in the wet. Another wet session in FP2 but a massive crash, I hit a false neutral in the last corner and went sliding down the armco railing, a little bit banged up, a little bit bruised but we arrived.
The qualification was set off the two Free Practice sessions because of a cancelled qualifying session, and we went straight into the Sprint race with zero dry track time. It was not quite the feeling that we wanted, finished fourth, and unfortunate to miss out on the podium after leading part of the race.
We just let it hang out in the last Feature race of the weekend. Pulled away doing incredible lap times in the conditions. Me and Reece got away from the pack a little bit and Rhys cleaned me out, on the inside of me, he went down, and I ran through the gravel and consolidated a sixth place.
But the championship’s back on. Four points in it and I'm raring to go. Hungry for Brands Hatch just let it all hang out, I can't wait.
