Ready for round two at Donington Park
I'm really looking forward to getting to Donington Park this weekend and getting back racing, especially after the tough scenes that we witnessed at Oulton Park.
I think it's important to remember why we do this sport, it's because we love it first and foremost, and this weekend we're going to be giving it everything as usual. But we're also going to be having in the back of our minds Owen and Shane and their families this weekend. We race in their honour and I'm sure the boys will be looking down on us.
As always, I'm looking forward to welcoming my sponsors, guests, friends and family. Weather-wise it’s looking like it’ll be a beautiful weekend at Donington Park, I can't wait.

“I’ve followed Moto Rapido since they started in BSB back in 2010, as I used to be quite local to the shop. I’d go visit and just daydream about owning a Ducati one day. I’ve followed them over the years and it’s been really exciting how a small independent team could achieve so much. Fast forward to 2023 I went to the Moto Rapido hospitality a couple of times and met Ben, and he obviously went onto win the championship that year. My business was doing quite well so I thought it was a chance to get involved with the Moto Rapido team. And last year I sponsored them with logistical support getting their hospitality unit to each round plus some additional support in other areas.
I got to know Ben over the season, spending time with him and his dad. I loved the whole family ethic, how they got into racing and the sacrifices they’ve made, and I realised this was someone who really wants this - more than most people I’ve spoken to.
Going into this season I’m helping the Moto Rapido team again, but my thought process was to help Ben out as well. In addition to sponsorship, I’ve helped Ben get out to Spain for some training on his old bike and other little things to help him along really. For me Ben’s personality is magnetic. When he talks you can’t help but listen to him, and he’s really comical. It’s more than a commercial relationship; I count him as a friend now as well.
Coming into the second round I wish Ben and the team all the best this weekend, hopefully we’ll all get some more podium pie!
